Darren Pomponio is the Regional Manager for Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc., Headquartered in Salt Lake City , UT is a uniquely-positioned, 100% minority-owned, community-based mortgage banker providing residential lending services throughout United States.
Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc. opened their doors for business back in 1998. Operating out of a small executive suite with a handful of employees, the first year, they closed 321 mortgages for $35 million. Like many entrepreneurs just starting out, Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc. wasn't sure where the road would lead, but they were passionate about their work.
Fast-forward 12 years later:
•Primary Residential Mortgage now has a nationwide family of employees numbering 1800 strong.
•Since 2001, our average annual volume is nearly $5 billion.
•Our home, our corporate office, is located in Salt Lake City, Utah, and employs more than 200 local team members.
•We have more than 275 branches across the country.
•We are licensed to do business in 48 states.
Darren began his mortgage banking career over 12 years ago as a loan officer for Centex Home Equity. Working for various banks, he then went on to manage the builder mortgage division of Pulte/Del Webb in Las Vegas where he won branch of the year. Most recently, Darren was a Branch Manager in Las Vegas with Wells Fargo before joining the ranks of Alterra, and now Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc.
Darren holds numerous awards and certifications in the Real Estate and lending market. He is involved in many non-profit organizations in the Bay Area including National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP), Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA), Chamber of Commerce and Rotary just to name a few. Darren’s competitive passion to be top in the market has always been a key driver for his success which supports his desire to develop branches and regions from inception. He also likes to volunteer his time in the community and hopes to get into politics in the near future.
Darren enjoys sports, exercise, travel and being outdoors in his spare time. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Pre-Law from the Metropolitan State College of Denver. He has strong family values shared with his wife of 9 years, Megan and their two beautiful daughters, Mia and Ava.
