PNG Guidelines

Meetings:

The Premier Network Group meets at 7:15 a.m. each Wednesday. This ensures that you will have time to get food and drink prior to the meeting’s start. The meeting will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m. Please be on time as it will disrupt the flow of the meeting for each person that arrives late. During the meeting all cell phones should be turned off. This includes vibrating functions so you can give the group and featured speaker your full attention. The meeting will end at 8:30 a.m. following the passing of referrals and our individual 30 second commercials. Bring at least 25 business cards to pass to other members in the group who may not have your current card.

Dues:

The dues for participation in PNG are as follows:

1. Annual dues are $125.00. Renewal will take place on the anniversary date of your accepted application, not per calendar year.
2. If you refer a new member to the group, and their application is accepted, you will receive a $25.00 reduction on your annual dues for the next year. You will receive a $25.00 reduction for each new member you refer.
3. Quarterly breakfast dues of $125.00 are to be paid on or by the second meeting of the new quarter. Late payment will result in a $10.00 fine.

Please note that you will not receive a refund for any dues if you choose to stop participation at any point during a year or quarter.  

Absences

As a member of PNG, you are allowed a total of 4 absences per quarter. Of those absences, 3 must be excused and 1 may be unexcused. For an absence to be excused, you must call or e-mail the member responsible for attendance, prior to that meeting. If you miss more than 4 meetings in a quarter, your membership is subject to termination. Should this circumstance arise, the decision will be made on a case by case basis, by the group as a whole. The reason(s) for the absences will be taken into consideration. This action will be taken without a refund of quarterly or annual dues. If you cannot commit to attending the meeting from 7:30-8:30 a.m. with regularity and limited occasions of leaving early or arriving late, please consider whether this group is a good fit for you. If you arrive after 7:30 a.m. you are considered late and will be assessed a $5.00 fine. Attendance is vital to your success in the group. There will also be a $5.00 fine if you fail to participate in the visitation exercise.

Provided your dues and fees are current, you may put your membership on hold for up to 3 months for a medical leave of absence. A leave of absence for any other reason will be considered on a case by case basis. Your past attendance will assist in that determination.

Referrals

Referrals for other members in the group should be, “warm,” referrals. A qualified referral must include a full name, contact phone number and details regarding the referral. Also, the individual or company requiring the service should be expecting a phone call from the PNG member. It should not be a, “cold,” call. Once you receive a referral, the referred person/company should be called within 24 hours! Remember, if you do not make contact within a timely manner, it reflects poorly on you and the other PNG member who gave you the referral!

Presentations

As a member of PNG, you will be able to make a presentation to the group on a rotating basis. This presentation should be 10 minutes in length with a 5 minute question and answer period. Please put some time and thought into the preparation of this presentation. The more information that you can convey in a clear and concise manner, the easier it will be for the other members to refer to you. If you want to speak on a specific aspect of your business, it’s helpful to ask the group the week before you speak what they would like to learn about.

Provide the Program Chair with a 3 or 4 sentence biography regarding your experience and background. This will be read during your introduction. Please be considerate during the Q & A and keep talking to a minimum. The focus should remain on the featured member and their questions and answers so that all can hear. If you arrive during a presentation, please do so with as little commotion as possible. Wait until the speaker is done before you get your breakfast so they can continue to have the full attention of the group.

Guests

Guests at Premier Networking Group will receive their first two breakfasts at no charge. Following their first two meetings, if a guest would like to attend a third time, they will need to pay $10.00 for their breakfast. They are also allowed to introduce themselves with the members and give a 30 second commercial at the end of the meeting. Guests are not to receive referrals from members of the group until they have; completed an application, been voted on by the group and paid their annual and quarterly dues.

After their first meeting with PNG, the guest may complete an application. The application should be given to the member handling correspondence who will then e-mail the group requesting a vote on the potential member. This vote is to confirm that there are no conflicts with a current member of the group. A conflict consists of significant overlap between a member and prospective member’s profession. After the group has voted and the guest accepted into the group, their dues will be collected.
